: This tool opens
a dialog box at the bottom of the map where users can
type in an address or cross street names. After the
street address, zone (zip code), or cross streets blanks
are filled-in, users must click the “Locate”
button at the top of the dialog box and the system will
display the address or cross street location on the
map. It is possible the address or cross streets could
match in more than one location. (Note: This is why
providing the proper zip code is important). In the
event more than one “match” is possible,
a “candidate list” will appear on the left-hand
side below the map. Possible matches appear in order
of “matching score” from highest to lowest.
A score of 100 is usually the best match. Users should
click on the blue hyperlink number next to the address
to zoom to the matched location. |
